Common questions
How do I play?
Everything is one button. On the ice, press to jump. In the water, tap to paddle and stay afloat. When the edge of the next floe glows, tap to hop out. Hold to leap out of the water from any depth.
How do I open the next chapter?
Finish the chapter before it. Each chapter ends when the penguin reaches its resting place.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device, and, if you are signed in to Google Play Games (Android) or iCloud (iPhone, iPad), also in your own Play Games or iCloud account, so it follows you to a new phone. If you are not signed in, it stays only on your device and deleting the app deletes it.
Can I watch the opening again?
Yes. On the title screen, choose WATCH INTRO.
Do I need an internet connection?
No, the game plays offline. Ads, achievements, leaderboards and cloud save need a connection.
Are there ads?
Ping Win is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. A full-screen ad can play on the results screen after a run, at most about once every few runs, and never while you are playing; a small banner can sit at the bottom of the menus. You can also choose to watch an ad to double your fish on a results card, or to restart from halfway after a death past the middle of a chapter. There are no in-app purchases; the fish you collect buy new looks for your penguin.
How do I change my ad privacy choices?
Where the consent message applies (for example in Europe and the UK), choose PRIVACY on the chapter select screen. On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings. Read the privacy policy.
How do achievements and leaderboards work?
Sign in to Google Play Games on Android or Game Center on iPhone and iPad. Achievements you earn before signing in are kept on your device and sent the next time you sign in.
