Privacy Policy
Trayko is a clear aligner tracking app for iPhone and Android, made by Aebyra (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the Trayko app collects, why, who helps us process it, and the controls you have. It covers the Trayko app and these Trayko pages on aebyra.com.
1. What we collect
| Data | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, optional display name, and an account ID. | Sign-in and syncing your data across devices. |
| Treatment data | Treatment profiles (aligner count, schedule, wear target, start date), wear sessions, tray changes and journal notes. | The core features: wear tracking, progress and reminders. |
| Progress photos | Photos you choose to take or pick from your library. | Showing and comparing your progress. Private to your account. |
| Care team details | Your orthodontist’s name, clinic, phone number and next appointment, if you add them. | Keeping them handy in the app. |
| Notifications | A push notification token, your time zone and your reminder settings. | Sending the reminders you turn on, at the right local time. |
| App usage | Events such as screens opened and features used, linked to your account ID (Firebase Analytics). | Understanding which features work and fixing problems. |
| Purchases | The product you bought (Remove Ads) and the store’s transaction ID. | Checking the purchase with Apple or Google and restoring it on new devices. We never see your payment details. |
| Advertising | Collected by Google AdMob: device and app information, IP-based approximate location and, only if you allow it, your device’s advertising identifier. | Showing and measuring banner ads in the free version. |
Treatment data and photos relate to your health, so we treat them as sensitive. They are used only to provide Trayko’s features to you. They are never used for advertising and never shared with advertisers.
2. Ads, tracking and your choices
- iPhone: Trayko asks for permission before using your advertising identifier (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, ads are not personalised. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: you are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before ads are personalised. You can change your choice in Trayko under Settings → Privacy choices.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings.
- Remove Ads: a one-time purchase that turns ads off for your account.
3. What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share treatment data, journal notes or photos with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use any advertising network other than Google AdMob.
4. Who processes your data
We use these providers to run Trayko. They process data on our behalf and only as needed:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, photo storage, push notifications, analytics and our server (hosted in Singapore).
- Supabase — the database that stores your account and treatment data (hosted in Seoul, South Korea).
- Google AdMob — ads in the free version (how Google uses data).
- Apple App Store and Google Play — payments for Remove Ads, under their own terms.
This means your data may be processed outside your country. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and photos are stored privately and are not reachable through public links.
5. Your rights and controls
- Correct: edit your details and treatment data in the app at any time.
- Get a copy: email us and we’ll send you a copy of your data.
- Delete: in the app go to Settings → Account → Delete account, or request deletion without the app.
- Notifications: every reminder type can be turned off in Settings or in your device settings.
- Ads: see section 2.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, treatment data, notes, photos and care team details are deleted immediately. Copies in encrypted backups are removed within 30 days. App usage events in Firebase Analytics expire automatically within 14 months.
7. Children
Trayko is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Not medical advice
Trayko is a tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat anything. Always follow your orthodontist’s or dentist’s instructions.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update this page and its effective date and let you know in the app.
